In 2004, Anteo Group announced the launch of TeamAnteo, an ongoing community involvement and sponsorship initiative. Since TeamAnteo’s launch, employees have been hands on with philanthropic events including the MS Walk and Hands on Atlanta as well as adopting a family at the Atlanta Children’s Shelter. Additionally, TeamAnteo contributes financially to charitable organizations such as the American Red Cross, the Foster Care Support Foundation and Camp Blue Bird.
Currently, Anteo Group’s primary cause is Kate’s Club which is a non-profit organization that empowers children and teens facing life after the death of a parent or sibling. Kate’s Club was founded by Kate Atwood who lost her mother at the age of 12. She was inspired to help other children unite with their peers who shared a similar experience of loss so they would know they were not alone in their grieving. Kate’s Club started in June 2003 with six children, their families and a gathering at a local bowling alley. Today they have touched the lives of approximately 250 children, with support from more than 100 volunteers. Kate’s Club offers a curriculum of four main programs providing social, recreational and emotional support to the children of Kate’s Club. We encourage other organizations and individuals to support this important initiative by checking out www.katesclub.org for more information.
Another important part of TeamAnteo is contributing to local technology organizations in our industry, which include but are not limited to, the Atlanta Java Users Group, Women in Java and Information Technology, The International Human Resources Information Management Association and The Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
