Agile is changing the world of software development. As a member of a software delivery team, if you don’t start learning what Agile is all about, you are going to get left behind. Understanding Agile isn’t about adopting a new set of words and new set of meetings, it is about how you think about software delivery, how you deal with uncertainty, and what your expectation are about putting products into market.

This month’s meeting will systematically deconstruct your worldview, introduce several essential thinking toold for approaching Agile projects, and explain ghe core set of principles and practices necessary to become a successful Agile test and team member. Mike Cottmeyer is the President of LeadingAgile, a management consultancy focused on safely and pragmatically introducing Agile methods into small, mid-sized and large organizations. In addition to running a growing company, Mike stays active working with many of his current clients.

Mike’s background includes work at IBM, EDS and Arthur Anderson. More recently, he has worked at John Harland, CheckFree, VersionOne, Pillar Technology, and for the past several years, LeadingAgile. His client lists includes small startups and large Fortune 500 companies. Mike lives and worked in Atlanta but supports clients worldwide. When not doing client work, Mike is a regular speaker at various Agile conferences. He is active in PMI and was on the steering committee for the recently launched PMI-ACP certification. Mike also runs the local Atlanta Scrum Meet-Up and volunteers with the PMI Agile Local Interest Group and Agile Atlanta.
